The following answers are reflections of this year’s artist participation in our Fubar exhibition, within our topic focused on ARCHIVING practices and FAILURES in DIY New Media Art and Culture.

These questions were entirely optional to answer with a purpose to help us to understand our digital art community better and allow us to help support any future change necessary.

  If you’d like, please share a bit about your general artistic practice and how it relates to the concept of utilising FAILURE. Do you feel failing is important for your art work and maybe even personal growth? Is it a part of your daily life or a privilege? Please reflect on any aspect of failure important to you.
• Is failure systemically accepted as an artistic practice?
  Is there enough freedom and support within the artworld system to make mistakes during artistic production? Is there a difference if you’re practising art completely independently, for an art market or within a conventional institutional production? Any input you deem important is of utmost value.
• How much do you implement failure in your artistic practice?
