Live-coding with Ralt144MI
During this workshop we will learn the history of live-coding movement and how to livecode algorithmic music together in a collaborative editor. No experience in programming or playing music is required and the overall code part is really accessible to all publics.
Only bring a computer! We will be coding by groups forming a small band for a more playful experience, using some algorave music tools.
At the end we can even have a small concert moment!

Rémi GEORGES
Rémi GEORGES is a Computer Music Designer, Sound technician and Visual Artist based in Lyon, France. His main project, Ralt144MI, is focused on the live-coding practice, considering coding as a performative gesture.
Rémi GEORGES is an active member of the Cookie Collective, gathering digital artists involved in real-time creation (video games, art installations, demoscene, algorave, etc). A member of Creative Code Lyon and the Grrrnd Zero, alternative venue and workshops dedicated to DIY music scene.
He works and organize workshops with several artists and institutions such as Vahan Soghomonian, Syntonie, Art Zoyd Studios, Ircam, A-maze Berlin, Grame CNCM, Overkill Festival…
His audiovisual is taking up the codes of Live-Coding, but also has many ramifications, and oscillating between the musical movements of Algorave (Algorithmic Rave-Party), Electro-Acoustic music and even the Noise movement. Making connexions between artistic scenes of GlitchArt, CircuitBending and Demoscene.
